Yes, I am lean. So what?

A big cheers from me to everyone who faced body-shaming comments at some point in their lives!

I guess that would be 99% of the world’s population.

This post is in my effort to wipe out some of the casual (but annoying) comments I faced in my life because I am way too lean in people’s standards.

I’m not a stick.

I will not be blown away by the occasional strong winds.

I do not have TB.

(Yes, I did face this comment once by an obese uncle. The irony, right?)

I don’t like to change my body just to fit into certain clothes.

I’m not malnourished.

I don’t want to fight my genetics.

I don’t think only curvy bodies look beautiful.

I never want to drink beer or eat junk food to gain weight (I would rather die lean).

After all these weird comments, a recent message from a childhood friend who texted me after ages made me smile.

She saw my stories about workout challenges on Instagram and asked, “Hey, your 30-day workout challenges are really good. Are you trying to lose weight?”

To be honest, I felt good. At least one person in the world didn’t think I needed to put on weight!
